This is a traditional villa with all the amenities ,very near the town, some steep steps to contend with ,but you take your time and this becomes part of your daily exercise . Lots of hot water, bath and shower, lovely lounge. One or two little things could be updated but this won't detract from your stay. The position is perfect ,lots of cafés and restaurants nearby. We had to travel around a lot ,taxis can be expensive, UBER rates were very good.John Cameron
We'll be back. This townhouse is lovely. Ideally placed for walking into Carvoeiro with all it's restaurants, shops and bars. The house is very well equipped and beautifully clean. The swimmng pool is close by and can be seen from the terrace which gets the sun all day. We were there on the first chilly night and were provided with a radiator so that we weren't cold for long. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again.51kaka51
The accommodation is in a brilliant location, a few minutes walk from the town square with bars and restaurants but far enough out to be peaceful. The evening views towards the sea from the balcony are lovely. The pool at the complex is a great size with plenty of beds and umbrellas. Carvoeiro is a small resort but has everything you could need for your holiday. The beaches in the local area are beautiful with crystal clear water.Stevie
Lovely House with loads of traditional features. Cannot fault this place. You need to be fit for the steps !!!Jann Hodge
The townhouse was lovely, very quirky with the bedrooms downstairs and both with a little balcony. The twin bedroom also had a small shower and toilet which we hadn’t realised. Views over Carvoeiro from the main balcony of the accommodation were wonderful and it was perfectly located - though I should mention there were a lot of steps to reach it (or via a steep hill) so I would not recommend for those not so good on their feet. There was a very helpful manual in the apartment covering everything you could think of both to do with the accommodation and the town. Susie was a great host from start to finish and always responded very quick. We loved our stay and would highly recommend our host Susie.Gayle
Our group of 4 really enjoyed our stay! The apartment is spacious and well appointed. Beautiful sunset view from the main patio! Easy to walk into town, the beach and the pool.Katie
We stayed for ten nights in number 13 ,tradional townhouse and it was fantastic ,location was only 5mins walk to centre although it’s on a hill ,with a few stairs to climb. It has a shared pool with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas ,some days we had this to ourselves ,with no one reserving beds then leaving for the day ,near the end of the holiday the pool area did get busy. Susan was always there if we needed her, and Rosa the cleaning lady was fantastic and very helpful. We loved the Colina and we loved Carvoiero.Haggarty family
The view from villa is amazing - from all rooms. All rooms were extremely clean and very well equipped especially kitchen. Nice terrace and top terrace. Good quiet location 5 minutes from beach - really 5 minutes ! It was our the best family vacation ever ! Villa was perfect very very clean and equipped in all what I can imagine. I wish to come back during summer time with friends....Lucas Z
We enjoyed 5 nights at Susan’s place. Everything was exact as the photos show. The place was well equipped every thing you need and a very nice pool. Sun decks off both bedrooms, living area and roof top. This place is on a hill, but close walking distance to town, beach and great hiking!Michele
Totally spoiled in this beautiful house situated overlooking Carvoeiro. Fantastic amenities throughout a real home from home with private parking for our hire car with use of the communal pool. Local amenities can provide whatever type of holiday you are looking for self catering or eating out. local markets, short drive to supermarkets and plenty of choice for eating out. Host always available to answer questions. Great base for exploring the surrounding area.Emma
Excellent accommodation. Second time here. House is a home from home , everything you require . Pool very quiet , most days we had it to ourselves . Love Colina Branca .Highly recommend this property. Catherine Turkington
We (4 people) stayed in the beautiful apartment in Colina Branca. The place offers everything you need (dish washer, washing machine, dryer, soap, towels, coffee machine, plenty of dishes,...) and has two terraces with a spectacular view over Carvoeiro. We really enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace looking at the see. The pool is big and nice but few stairs away. For us it was no problem because we don't mind a little walk. Since the apartments are located on a hill you have to walk a little bit until you are at the beach (5-10 minutes). Communication with Susan is very easy, because she answers fast. If you need anything you get a quick help (for example we couldn't find the hair dryer and she immediately brought us one). Also cleaning once to twice a week is included which is very comfortable. We really recommend the apartment and want to come back to Colina Branca. Unknown
Spotlessly clean, very comfortable stay. I'm just back from a 9 night stay in Susie's 2 bedroom townhouse in Colina Branca. It was impeccably clean and very comfortable, loads of hot water, towels, sun umbrellas etc for myself, husband, 2 kids and parents. The bedrooms were plenty big for sharing as we had our two children in with us on a pull out bed and cot. The pool area was also spotless and we enjoyed many an afternoon on the well-kept sun loungers. One consideration (not necessarily a negative) is the extremely steep hill from the town up to the townhouses - it is perfectly manageable for any active person but could be a problem if you had mobility issues. Having said that, the house was very close to the beach and main square so was worth it for me (and taxis are very affordable if you didn't have a car)! Would have absolutely no problems in recommending Susie's townhouse and would look forward to staying again in future. Unknown
Lovely house within easy walking distance of the small and vibrant town of Carvoeiro. The view from the house over the town and the sea was lovely. The house itself was a great size and the facilities were excellent, the kids especially liked having WiFi. The shared pool was a short walk from the house and even in peak season never felt crowded. The house was fully cleaned half way through our holiday by a lovely lady. Overall, great accommodation in a great location with great facilities and service. Would definitely return and would recommend to anyone looking for a holiday in this part of the Algarve. Thanks for everything. We may well be back next year.Jessica
The property description was spot on - well written guidance notes in property which covered every aspect of stay, i.e. whether it places to visit or recommended eating places. Also guides with respect to all appliances within property and how to operate were clear and detailed and all emergency telephone numbers were to hand. No problem with following guide for internet. Property well maintained and clean. Out and about in car visited most places wthin 20 minute radius and had some very nice lunches/evening meals. Only thing that found resort had monopoly on was prices on sun beds at 17 euros - thought very expensive but however only used for one day so not really a problem, Would recommend to friends.Unknown
Very nice and well equipped apartment with a wonderful view over Carvoeiro and the Atlantic Ocean - The location is close to everything. We loved our stay here, and would not hesitate to rent this apartment for a future holidays in Portugal. Jonna & Torben
The House is in a really beautiful location and has a great view. There were no problems, Rosa took good care of us ?? We would like to come back.Anon.
Hello Susie, we had an excellent stay in the Algarve. I wanted to thank you for the quality of your accommodation and information that you have given us in the handbook. The House of Colina Branca is really very nice and I will contact you for a further stay to learn more about this beautiful region. Sincerely Guy
Very good location geographically for many excursions, but also, more importantly, close to the centre of Carvoeiro , one of the most beautiful seaside resorts of The Algarve. The house is atypical, with very pretty views of the ocean and cliffside houses that make it appear all white, and the solarium on the balcony. We enjoyed the quietness of the environment. Just a point that needs in proving, everything in the tourist information in the house is written in English.Anon.
The townhouses of Colina Branca are in a great location, a short walk from the town of Carvoeiro but quiet enough for a relaxing holiday. Carvoeiro itself is a good all round resort town with something for everyone. There are great local beaches within a short drive and the town beach is a short walk from Colina Branca. There's lots to do for all age groups. The townhouses are really well proportioned with a great layout and view to the sea. Each townhouse has its own private car port immediately next to it. Bedrooms are downstairs, so really cool in the summer. Terrace is large enough for al fresco dining, with an extra roof terrace for more private sunbathing. There is a good size communal pool which is well equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. We have stayed in this complex 3 times now and are never disappointed. Everything was exactly as had been documented, no surprises.Anon.
Our vacation in Colina Branca, Carvoeiro was fabulous. We were very satisfied! It was a great house and the algarve is beautiful. Thank you very much for everything, we had a great vacation. Franziska
Prime location, excellent facilities, very clean and well maintained, very easy to find, great terrace (s), location great (about 7 min walk), price absolutely top!! We would absolutely recommend this holiday home and will book our next stay in Carvoeiro in this house again :=)))))))))Johann S
We have recently returned from a fabulous holiday staying at colina branca townhouse, the townhouse was as described, if not bigger than we imagined it was going to be, and had everything we required, though we would have loved air conditioning as it was very hot. Although the bedrooms are downstairs and it is slightly cooler there. It is situated close to shops, beach and restaurants, however it is on a very steep hill and therefore not for anyone with difficulty walking! The pool was never too busy, even in August and was nice and clean.
If we return to Carvoeiro, which we hope to do, we would definitely return to colina branca.Unknown
We returned to France without any problem. We want to congratulate you for the benefit of the House, everything was perfect. This is a very clean, complete, practical, nice view, comfortable house. We thank you. We wish you a good season 2012. Sylvie
Magnificent location with a superb sea view, ideal for 4 persons, spacious rooms, two beautiful bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and lounge, a covered terrace with sea view for eating meals and a terrace on the roof. Very close to the town centre and the beach, there is a large communal pool with parasols and sunbeds. Also a cleaning lady several times in the week to renew the sheets and towels. (Thanks to the nice person who worked for us!) The region is superb, this rental is recommended.Corinne
This was our third visit to Carvoeiro and our second to Colina Branca. The house has everything you need to ensure a more than comfortable stay. Great sun terrace, cool fresh bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. My parents travelled with us this year and they loved both the house and the village. We used the market most days and on the days we chose to eat out there was so much to choose from. We also received great support and advice for things we wanted to do from Susie at Carvoeiro Villa Holidays. A great family holiday.....see you next year!Anon.
The house at Colina Branca was absolutely delightful. It had the feel of a lighthouse with two spiral staircases and each room had its own balcony. The bedrooms were spacious and equipped with large wardrobes and cupboards. The top floor looked out onto a wonderful view of the sea over the domed roofs of the other houses. We particularly liked the pool and spent long hours there. It was private and surrounded by flowering plants. The pool was an adequate size to have a decent swim and was 3 metres deep at one end, being shallow at the other. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols were available. The house was only a short walk from the town which offered a good selection of restaurants and bars. There was a lively atmosphere with live music on several evenings and the beach was only five minutes away. The cleaner came halfway through the week to clean and change the linen - good service.Unknown
Thanks to Suzie and her colleagues, we spent a great week. The house was absolutely perfect, very very clean with maid service and change of bed linen during the week. The house was very well equipped, kitchen full of beautiful dishes. A lot of comfort, decorated with care and taste, a terrace with a magnificent view of the sea. Very calm residence, great communal pool, clean, sun loungers and umbrellas available. In short a corner of paradise with beautiful beaches. Thanks for everything, Suzie, I hope that we can return.Marie L N
We had an excellent stay in Carvoeiro, the rental was very clean and very well maintained. The location is very well equipped and has a magnificent view. It is very nice to lunch and dinner on the terrace. The swimming pool of the residence is also very well maintained. No negative point to this location. We were a couple with three children (11 years, 10 years and 20 months) and I recommend this location for families or even friends as the city centre is nearby to go and party. We went regularly on foot to the centre of Carvoeiro for lively evenings (restaurants, pubs, rides for children, shops....) Advice: go for it! Anon.
Colina Branca is a small development of townhouses, and a perfect choice for a family holiday. We stayed in a 2/3 bedroom townhouse which slept 5 people comfortably. The lounge/dining area was furnished very well in Portuguese style and the patio doors opened onto a very spacious sun terrace which included sun loungers and patio furniture. There was a further rooftop sun terrace which was also very spacious and perfect for fantastic views of Carvoeiro. The kitchen was very well equipped even ice packs in the freezer and cool bag to use. The bedrooms were very comfortable each with small private sun terraces. The communal pool area was superb with lots of sun loungers and sun umbrellas. The village/beach is no more than 10 minutes walk from the complex, and you are made very welcome by the locals in all the cafe bars/shops and restaurants. We will certainly be returning to Colina Branca. Thank you.Benson
We have been holidaying in Carvoeiro for the past 12 years, off and on. We have stayed in Villa's as well as the Town Houses in Colina Branca. The Colina Branca houses are superb. The size of the house and the sun balcony is just perfect for our needs. It was clean and tidy and provided more than we expected. This year we had 3 generations in our party ranging from 17 to 71 and there was ample space for all including an en-suite bathroom in one of the bedrooms so my Mum had more privacy in the mornings and getting ready to go out at night. The pool is a really good size. Deep at one end and nice and shallow at the other so the pool would suit most people. We never had to get up in the morning to put towels out as there was always sun beds available regardless of the time we got to the pool and all 6 of us got a bed and a sun umbrella if needed. The whole of Carvoeiro is built on the hillside of what was probably a simple valley many centurys ago. There is no avoiding either steep hills or steps. Colina Branca is no different. You can walk up 'donkey hill' to get to the villas or go past the hill and take the stairs. 95 steps up to our villa! After coming off the beach and having lunch in Smilers it is only 40 steps from the raod to get to the pool which was a good place to stop. I do have to say that the steps did not affect our holiday one bit. In fact it made us all feel we deserved the ice cream after dinner because we had put in a bit of extra effort using the stairs. We've already booked for next year and just can't wait to get back to the place we feel is our second home.Unknown
