28th June 2026  We’ve just spent a week at Casa Alexandra and loved it! It’s a beautiful house, bigger than it looks in the photos and has a great balance of being both stylish and comfortable. The pool is a great size and the shaded dining area looking out to the countryside and sea beyond was welcome in the heat and the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped which made cooking easy, but also there are a few restaurants within 15mins walk. Taxi’s into town were also straightforward, although maybe a bit more information about this might have been useful. Despite that the internet speed was good. Make sure you go to the walkable Praia do Carvalho, it’s a great beach. As with so many of the beautiful beaches in this area, there are steps/climb down but the pay off is soft sand and a refreshing sea which was warmer than expected. A great villa experience and Amy was very responsive and helpful. Thank you.

25th July 2026  We would certainly stay here again. The apartment was very clean and exactly like the photos, but more spacious! The 3rd floor corner apartment had a fabulous view from both balconies. The pool and communal areas were clean and well maintained. When the pool area bacame shaded (July 5pm) there was full sun on the balcony. An easy 10 minute walk down the steps to the centre of Old Town. Susie also organised our airport transfers and tourist tax. A fabulous holiday, many thanks.

10 Oct 2025  Apartment is wonderful. Lovely and quiet. Has everything you need for a great holiday. It's a steep hill and 101 steps down (or up!) to and from the old town but only about 4€ in a taxi if you need it. Pool was lovely although busy at weekends with people "reserving" sunbeds which is a little frustrating.Overall we had a wonderful stay.

4th Oct 2025  Very nice, quietly located house. The house is equipped with everything you need, including washing-up liquid and washing powder. There are plenty of crockery and glasses. Beach towels are also provided. After a week's stay, the bed linen and towels were changed and the bathrooms were cleaned. We hadn't expected that. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols in the outdoor area, as well as a barbecue. There is one bedroom with a bathroom on the ground floor and two further bedrooms and a children's room on the first floor. The beds were quite good by Portuguese standards, but all the double beds are only 1.60 m wide. Overall, the house was very clean and nicely furnished.

4th Oct 2025 We loved our stay at Susie's villa. We had 8 ladies staying for 1 week and the main purpose of our holiday was to play pickleball at La Rocha Brava resort. This was the perfect base. The house was roomy. We paid extra to have the pool heated and that was fantastic. The pool was good size.
The house was wonderful, everything was clean, and was cleaned again during our stay and fresh towels. There were plenty of plates and kitchen utensils and we did read before to bring our own basics - coffee, tea, salt, pepper etc.
There is a small supermarket near by at La Rocha Brava but we got an Uber to and from Aldi's for large food shops (approx EUR 12 return).
There were some lovely restaurants within a short walk.
Suzie was also flexible with our check out time.
We would love to come and stay again.

Sep 2024  Only stayed for four nights, as we were too late to book for a longer period. Everything was fine with the cottage, it felt like coming home. Highly recommended.

Aug 2024  The accommodation is perfect for a family, functional and very well-equipped.  I was jealous of the beautiful bougainvillea that surrounds the patio window. An information book is available for emergencies and must-see places visited. Thank you so much... everything was perfect. I'll save the address for a future stay.  A big favourite for your accommodation. See you soon, I think !

Aug 2023  Nice and very quiet residence. We recommend this little villa with its garden and roof terrace where we were able to watch the shooting stars.

27 Sep 2025  Lovely stay in September, car needed to reach the many great beaches. Four within walking distance, 10-20 minutes. Susie was always quick to respond, even when our child was ill and we needed a pharmacy.

29th Sep 2025  A very nice house with perfect location, beautiful views from both the balcony and rooftop where we spent many evenings. The pool was great too.
