Accommodation
This beautiful spacious 4 bedroom ground floor villa is situated in the residential area of Vale do Milho, only a stones throw from Vale do Milho Golf Club. It is a piece of home from home, surrounded by its own large gardens, and benefits from a terrace with ample sun loungers, brick built BBQ, and large al-fresco dining table & chairs overlooking the gardens, large sun awning on pool terrace, and a large, salt water, heated pool, measuring 16m x 8m. The villa also has double glazed doors and windows with fitted mosquito nets.
Everything you need for a wonderful family holiday is available, air conditioning, pool heating, 5G wi-fi, pool towels, baby items, hairdryer.... (Air conditioning and pool heating are optional extras)
There is a bright airy lounge dining room overlooking the pool, TV System with UK channels, latest movies, air conditioning and log burner. A 5G wi-fi internet connection is available. Patio doors lead out to the terrace, pool and gardens.
The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with filter coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, 2x fridge/freezer, oven with ceramic hob, filtered water on tap, and overlooks the gardens surrounding the property. There is also a small courtyard housing the washing machine and laundry drying area with ironing board & iron.
The bedrooms consist of 3 twin rooms and 1 double bedroom with fitted wardrobes & dressing table, all are air conditioned and have freestanding fans, plus patio doors out to the terrace. Two bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms - one with combined bath & shower, the other ensuite has a walk in shower. The other 2 bedrooms share a family bathroom of double hand basins, and bath & shower.
There is a guest WC near to the front door.

The house is self catering. Toilet paper will be left for the first day, and a bin bag too. You will need to bring or purchase more.

Car hire, which we can arrange if required, is recommended but not essential. Alternatively we can arrange transfers for you and your party from Faro Airport direct to the accommodation. Price available upon request.

Living Rooms - Lounge with armchairs and sofas, air conditioning, a log burning fire, and UK TV channels, and CD player. Dining area with dining table and chairs. Sliding patio doors leading to the outside terrace and huge heated pool and bbq with large stone dining table for al fresco dining.
Kitchen - Fully fitted kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and 2x fridge/freezers.

Bathroom - Master bedroom and second bedroom both have en-suite bath/shower rooms, as well as a family bathroom with bath/shower and double basins. Also a guest cloakroom.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service - All bed linen and bath/hand/towels are provided and will be changed on a regular basis. A mid-week maid/cleaning service is provided. *Pool and beach towels are provided, so no need to bring your own!
The huge, salt water, heated pool (16m x 8m), is roman stepped and reputed to be the largest in Carvoeiro. At the shallow end the depth measures 1.15 metres, with the deep end measuring 3.00 metres. Pool towels are provided.
There is a useful adjacent outside shower, plenty of sun loungers and a dining table with an awning for shading that is perfect for enjoying al-fresco meals cooked on the built in barbecue. Steps lead to the secluded roof terrace which offers magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and Vale do Milho countryside, and space for sunbeds.

There are some wonderful beaches close by. Closest beach of Centianes is about 2 kilometres (15 minutes walk) in addition to the beach at Carvoeiro 2.5km away. Also within 5 minutes drive are Praia de Marinha, Benagil, Carvalho and Albandeira.
The coastline is spectacular with great views and great cliff walks.
Vale do Milho 9 hole par 3 course is a 5 minute walk, with clubhouse and restaurant. The Nick Price/David Leadbetter, Pestana Golf Resort (Vale do Pinta and Gramacho) is 10 minutes drive. The Henry Cotton Penina and Alto Club Championship Courses, Salgados Links, Palmares and the new Golf Do Morgardo courses are all within a 20 minutes drive.
Discounted green fees and special packages are available on many courses.
Carvoeiro is approx. 40 minutes easy drive along the coastal motorway from Faro Airport. Car hire is recommended in order to visit many interesting places.
A short walk from this property is the bustling town of Carvoeiro with a fabulous selection of restaurants and bars (English babysitter available), and a choice of beautiful beaches and fabulous clifftop walks. There are many banks and cash withdrawal machines, and three golf courses are within 5 minutes drive.The large supermarkets, Intermaché, Aldi and Apolonia are approximately 2km away on the road to Lagoa, so just a few minutes’ drive.
Visit Monchique mountain or the reservoir for stunning scenery and restaurants, where you can eat a 3 course meal with wine and coffee for under €10!
Two big water parks (Slide and Splash and Aqualand) are within 10 minutes drive, and Zoo Marine for the whole family within 20 minutes drive. The Algarve Shopping Centre also 20 minutes drive with its great High Street shops and restaurants as well.

The house is spacious, enough big and comfortable for eight persons, has everything you need. The really big pool was very enjoyable. Villa is located in peaceful and quiet part of the town, on the hill, 15 min walk to the lovely beach. There are few restaurants close by and a lot in Carvoeiro. Susan was very helpful, communication with her was easy and quick. We had a great holiday in this villa and really recommend this place.
Great holiday . Great villa *****. Stayed at this lovely villa with 7 friends to celebrate my 50 th birthday. We had a fantastic holiday , the villa was so well equipped with everything we could possibly need for self catering , a rural setting so didn't have to worry about laughing too loud !! It's worth paying for the pool to be heated as did a lot of evening swimming , you do need taxi to get to town as was a long walk and dark . But you can walk to beach but it's still a way and a hill which killed us in the heat ! My birthday just so happened to land on the big black and white festival which was amazing and went on till the early hours. I would definitely stay here again was not crowded at all with 8 of us as very spacious and a massive pool! Would hire a car though next time. Susie and Rosa were lovely and on hand for any questions. All in all a great holiday location and lovely villa.
Absolutely perfect, wouldn't hesitate to book again. We were a little apprehensive about booking a villa separately, but as we were taking 5 teenage children a large pool and a bit privacy was top of our list, we just hoped the villa was as described. It turned out to be perfect for us and exactly as described. It’s a great size villa, well laid out and has everything you could want. The pool is massive and very deep....around 3m. We opted for the pool heating and it was spot on, it really took the edge off the water, as a result we used it all day long. The great thing for the kids was the ability to use the pool first thing in the morning and even late at night, we’re used to pools opening and closing at certain times so this was amazing for us. Swimming at night in a heated pool with the stars over your head was brilliant! All the bedrooms are twins and a good size, two have ensuite, there’s a large bathroom and separate toilet, decent dining areas (inside and out) and a well equipped kitchen. There’s plenty of space to catch up on a tan if that’s your thing with a great roof terrace that gets sun all day long. We didn’t pay for air-conditioning so it was quite hot in the villa but fortunately there’s plenty of fans to move some of the hot air about. The villa is in a lovely quiet area but even with five teenagers we didn’t feel like we were making too much noise or being a nuisance, there’s quite a lot of space between villas which I think helps. If I had to pick a downside it would be the distance you need to walk to the local shops…….you pay the price for peace and quiet. We didn’t get a hire car as on google maps everything you need is within 15-30 min walk. We thought it would be straightforward but it’s a hilly place so when you’re going up/down hills in 30+ degree heat, well, it was tiring to say the least. We ended up getting a taxi to pick us up from the villa to take us to the centre of town, even a minibus was only 8 Euro’s so not too expensive. Fortunately, everything we needed to know was in the welcome book, taxi number, shop locations, everything. We are already talking about our next trip out, which is very rare for us. We never seem to go back to places but we loved it here. If you’re considering this villa or have booked it I would recommend you pay for pool heating, get the welcome pack so you have food & beer when you arrive, pay for air-conditioning and consider getting a hire car, although it’s not essential if you’re willing to get taxi’s and pay for the transfers.
We spent a very good holiday in this large villa. The villa is very pretty, well located and well equipped. When at the pool... just look at the pictures! We thoroughly enjoyed the rental facilities: bed linen & towels provided, cleaning during the stay, everything ready upon our arrival! The employees were courteous and discrete. We have not had to complain about anything whatsoever, and it really was a wonderful stay. Thanks much for this stay and if we go back in the Algarve, we will contact you!

Brilliant holiday! Vila do Milho provided everything we all (age range of 64 years to 6 months!) needed, and lots more. Very favourite bits were the huge pool and the fabulous, tiled, outside eating area beside the barbeque. The management company were great and so helpful when we had a car problem (and not a word of Portuguese between us!). Our only disappointment was that we were only there for 1 week - within a few days of returning home we'd booked a fortnight for next summer!

Dear Susie, The villa was really lovely and the size was impressive. The outstanding feature is the 16m pool and was actually the main reason we booked that villa, albeit we knew the area well and knew it was close walking distance to beach as well. We’ve been at villas before with electric gates, automatic awnings (close automatically if windy) and the full Sky package before, but these are fairly small areas of improvement. Overall though the villa was very nice and the maid, gardener and pool cleaner were all very good at doing their job without being in the way. Thanks for everything.
